Terms of Service
By accessing or using TrybeOS (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. About the Service
TrybeOS is a student community platform available as a Telegram Mini App, currently serving LASU. It includes a marketplace, campus events and announcements, anonymous messages, a matching feature and direct messaging.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and a student, staff member or verified member of a supported campus to use the Service. We may verify student status using your campus email or student ID.
3. Your account
Your account is tied to your Telegram account. You are responsible for keeping your Telegram account secure and for everything that happens through it. You must not create multiple accounts to evade moderation.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post illegal, fraudulent, deceptive or harmful content.
- Sell or advertise prohibited items, including counterfeit goods, weapons, drugs or anything banned by law.
- Harass, threaten, bully or dox other users.
- Impersonate others, including claiming to be an administrator.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' data.
- Use the Service to spam, scam or mislead other users.
5. Marketplace & transactions
TrybeOS is a platform that connects buyers and sellers. We are not a party to transactions between users, and we do not handle payments or escrow. Buyers and sellers are solely responsible for their agreements, the condition of goods, and completing transactions safely. "Buyer protection" or "verified" status never guarantees any transaction. Always meet safely and inspect items before paying.
6. Anonymous messages
Anonymous messages are publicly posted without your name. You are still responsible for their content. Abuse that we identify as coming from you — including via reports or technical investigation — is subject to moderation even when posted anonymously.
7. Content you post
You keep ownership of content you post, and you grant TrybeOS a non-exclusive licence to store, display and use it to operate the Service. We may remove content that violates these Terms.
8. Moderation & enforcement
We may hide or delete content and suspend or permanently block accounts that violate these Terms, without notice. Reports are reviewed by our administrators, and we are not obligated to reveal the identity of anonymous users except where required by law.
9. Intellectual property
The TrybeOS name, logo and design are ours. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrybeOS is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for losses arising from transactions between users, loss of data, or inability to use the Service.
12. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may terminate or restrict access for breaches of these Terms or where required by law.
