A quick guide to everything you can do on TrybeOS, built for students of LASU. Last updated August 2026.

Getting started

TrybeOS runs entirely inside Telegram — there is nothing to download and no phone-number sign-up forms.

Open @TrybeOSBot in Telegram and press START.
Tap Open TrybeOS (or the menu button) to launch the app.
Set up your profile: name, faculty, department, level and an optional photo.
Upload your student ID to unlock announcements and a verified badge (see Verification).

Marketplace Buy · Sell · Rent

The marketplace lets students buy, sell, rent and offer services — from textbooks and gadgets to tutoring and gigs.

List an item: add photos, a price, a category and a short description. Your listing is visible to everyone on campus.
Seller pages: tap any seller to see their active listings, rating, reviews and completed deals before you buy.
Interested? Express interest and the seller can share contact details with you through the app.
Transactions: complete deals safely, share contact details only when you are comfortable, and leave reviews afterwards.
Your listings: edit, mark sold/rented or delete any listing you created from the Listings section on your profile.

Tip: always meet in public, on campus, and inspect the item before you pay.

Events & announcements Campus

Stay on top of everything happening on campus, straight from the feed.

Events: browse upcoming campus events (or switch to All / Past), filter by category, view details and RSVP so you never miss out.
Reminders: RSVP to an event and you'll get a reminder before it starts. In the Notifications section of the Profile tab, switches control Event alerts (new campus events) and TrybeOS announcements.
Announcements: official notices from verified organisers and administrators appear in the feed. Like ones you appreciate.
Posting: you can post events from the events tab. Posting announcements requires a verified badge — and lets you choose who sees them: everyone, or just your level, faculty or department.

Anonymous messages Whispers

Say it without your name. Post a message and it appears in the anonymous feed without your identity shown publicly.

Your name is never displayed next to an anonymous message.
Choose who sees it — everyone, or just your level, faculty or department — and send the link to your class.
Reports are handled by administrators — messages that break the rules are removed and repeat offenders lose anonymous posting.

Match Connections

Match connects you with students from every department — study groups, campus friendships and more.

Fill in your department, level, bio and photo to join the pool, then swipe through candidate cards.
You match with people who swipe back; pass on someone and they can resurface in your pool after a day.
Start conversations from the chats tab once you match — messaging works entirely inside the app.

Invite friends Referrals

Every profile has an Invite friends button that copies a ready-made invite message with your personal link.

Share the link in any WhatsApp group, DM or classroom chat.
When a friend opens it, they land straight inside the app and can jump into Events, Market or Match from the welcome screen.

Verification

Verification proves you are a real student. It adds a green verified checkmark to your profile and lets you post announcements.

Student ID upload: upload a photo of your student ID — administrators review and approve it.
Campus email confirmation (coming soon): confirm your campus email address with a one-time code to become a LASUite — shown as a plain line under your name, not a badge.

Note: for now, open the identity option in the Profile tab and upload your student ID — an administrator reviews and approves it. Anyone can buy, sell and use Match without verifying — verification is an optional badge that unlocks announcements and adds trust to your listings and profile. Your school, level and department show under your name as profile details, not as badges, so badges never clutter a profile.

Safety & rules

No scams. Never send money to someone you haven't met in person, and report anything suspicious.
No harassment or hate — respect other students.
No spam or off-topic posts.
Report any listing, event, message or user you believe breaks the rules — moderators review every report.
Repeat or serious violations lead to account suspension or a ban.
